We needed a large, but slim cabinet to organize the kids games.
We sanded, painted and made legs from scraps of wood we had from an old deck.
I didn't want anything too complicated but it needed some color, so I taped a border and a diamond pattern.
It's tall enough for all of our boots to fit under, and big enough for all of our games, hats, gloves and scarves. Total cost: about $5.00 for wood screws.
I added some tissue paper poms from PomLove, painted some thrifted mirrors and placed old locker room baskets on the top for hats and gloves.
I have one more project to finish up the room - a hat and coat rack made from one of our old doors and some vintage cabinet knobs.
This is so incredibly cool! A family project! The "simple" design looks amazing. How in the world do you come up with this great stuff? If you need a project, come accessorize our basement and bathroom! : ) I can't even choose a bathmat. Ugh.
